Microsoft's new image format

For some years, JPEG remains the only widely accepted format. I do disappointed that the PNG failed to get the expected status although it has a better color effect.

Now, Microsoft comes up with the WMP (Windows Media Photo). If you like to have the information, you can visit: Windows Media Photo Specification. You must agree to the terms before downloading the specification (Word format).

It may take some days if not months for us to check if it has something great. Of course, I believe that Microsoft would not come up if there were nothing better than JPEG.

This one may have a better development because we all know that Microsoft's Windows remains the platform of most PC.

For years, the digital photography has no improvement for the basic structure. I do hope that more of such development will be coming.
